Restoration: Get Started

Important Considerations in deciding whether to begin a restoration process are:

  • Expense:  Restoration work is very time consuming and labor intensive, hence somewhat costly.
  • In doing this work it is a good idea to do the work in as thorough manner as possible so that the job will last. Parts need to be replaced rather than reusing a borderline part.
  • Commitment is required since it is a costly and time consuming endeavor. The customer must be committed to the restoration of the vehicle.
  • The Arc and Anvil offers stripping, repairing and metalwork up to the point that another shop could complete the bodywork and paint. We will Epoxy prime car to prepare it for the next shop. In the past, we have offered full restoration including final painting (as seen in some of the example jobs). Our intent now is to offer a more complete metalwork and repair service with less emphasis on paint.
